Islamabad: Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry annoyed over police failure to present record of cases that had been lodged with regard to illegal activities in Lal Mosque.
The CJ lamented that nobody was taking interest in the case despite it was taken up by the court after a long time.
The remarks came as three-judge bench of the apex court resumed hearing into the case pertaining to Lal Mosque Operation and reconstruction of Jamia Hafsa.
Inspector Gen Islamabad Police Tahir Alam told the court that an FIR was registered into the operation.
The CJ expressed grief and remarked that atrocities were done to a mosque. He said the court had sought report during the last hearing a report pertaining to investigation into the vase but to no avail.
