Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court on Wednesday issued last warning to police for closure of torture cells in Peshawar.
The orders came during the hearing of a case pertaining to 92 missing people. PHC Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan said that action would be taken against police if the torture cells were not closed.
IG Khybar Pakhtunkwa Azam Khan and Chief Secretary were also present in the court during the course of hearing.
“Politicians and army could not resolve problems without rule of law,” the CJ remarked. He said a slight violation of law could result in storm.
