Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and Pakistan Muslim League (Like Minded) have accorded a deal for upcoming polls in the country.
At the famous residence of PML-N’s chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, leaders of Like Minded group and PML-N leaders gathered to discuss and finalize the electoral alliance.
From the Like Minded Group Humayon Akhtar, Gohar Ayub, Salim Saifullah, Hamid Nasir Chattha and Kashmala Tariq took part in the meeting.
From PML-N side Nawaz Sharif was leading a group of party leaders including Shahbaz Sharif, Mehtab Abbasi, Zafar Iqbal Jhagra .
Details of the the seat to seat alliance is as follow:
- Out of 272 general seats of national assembly, seat adjustments would made on 36 seats
- Eleven seats would be given to Like Minded group
- Representation would be given to Like Minded group in parliament and senate
- Both the groups would get share in all future alliance, electoral or non-electoral, accordingly to their proportion
Like Minded group is splinter faction of PML-N’s rival Pakistan Muslim League Quad-e-Azam led by Chaudhry Shujat Hussain.
Later on Jhagra and Humayon Akhtar gave details about the alliance saying ‘we would work in and out of parliament’ for the national solidarity.
