Lahore: Nuclear scientist and founding father of Pakistan’s nuclear program, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has said that situation in Karachi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan was deteriorating.
Speaking at the Punjab University on Wednesday, Khan urged theĀ youth to vote for educated people in next election.
He said that situation in Punjab was comparatively better, adding that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had political guts.
The national hero said that computer centers should have been opened in the province instead of distributing laptops.
Qadeer Khan said that Yellow Cab scheme was under the use of influential people.
He reminded the history and said that he had written a letter to former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto following the nuclear tests of India, urging him to establish nuclear program for Pakistan.
He said he had told Z.A Bhutto that Pakistan would be destroyed if it didn’t make atom bomb.
Khan noted that Bhutto asked him to come to Pakistan and undertake the work for the nuclear program.
“After nuclear explosions Indian realized that Pakistan could not be destroyed,” he added.
