Karachi: The eleventh Aga Khan University (AKU) Boys Basketball Tournament is going to start today (Monday) in which eleven teams from across the universities in Karachi are participating.
The teams are divided into four groups. The Tournament round matches will be played on league basis at the AKU Sports Centre Gymnasium.
Pool A: Greenwich University (GU) and Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS-Green Team).
Pool B:Â Ziauddin Medical University (ZMU), Indus Valley School of Arts & Architecture (IVSAA) and Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS-Blue Team).
Pool C:Â Aga Khan University (AKU), Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST) and Iqra University (IU).
Pool D:Â Â Â Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET), Institute of Business Management (IoBM) and Institute of Business Administration (IBA).
Three matches will be played on the opening day (today). The inaugural match will be played between Aga Khan University and Iqra University at 5.00 pm. IoBM will play against IBA at 6.15 pm in the second match while IVSAA and DUHS-Blue will go head to head at 7.30 pm.
Dr. Haroon-ur-Rashid, Assistant Professor Orthopaedic, Department of Surgery, AKU will inaugurate the tournament at 5.00 pm.
