Karachi: Prof. Dr. Syed Iqbal Alam, chairman of the department of microbiology of Federal Urdu University for Arts, Science and Technology, has retired from his post after serving for 33 years.
Mr Alam had been giving his services to the university as a teacher and chairman. He not only wrote articles for national, but also for international magazines. He is the author of five books on microbiology which are considered authentic throughout Pakistan’s universities. Moreover, the professor also translated ‘Bio Ethics’ form English to Urdu which is available on Unesco’s website.
After his retirement, Professor Asif Ali has taken charge as the department’s chairman. Ali is also serving as a Campus Officer.
