Kabul: Two US-led soldiers were killed on Monday after they hit an improvised explosive device (IED) in eastern Afghanistan, Press TV reported.
The soldiers had been serving with the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
The nationality of the troops and exact location has not been known yet as the military force did not give details. However, most of the foreign troops in the eastern part of the country are American, the report said.
According to the icasualties.org website, at least 120 US-led troops have been killed in Afghanistan so far this year.
The rising number of military casualties in Afghanistan has caused widespread anger in the US and other members of the Western military alliance of NATO, undermining public support for the US-led war.
