Kabul: Afghanistan Interior Ministry held Haqqani Network responsible of the recent attacks on embassies Sunday in the Afghan capital that leaved 16 people dead.
According to the Afghan Interior Ministry, intelligence sources revealed that the Haqqani Network of Pakistan was responsible for the disastrous attacks.
It was said in a statement that Haqqanis wanted to kill Afghan Vice President Karim Khalil. Two suicide bombers along with 12 other suspects were detained and the fighting came to a halt in Paktia and Nangarhar provinces.
At least 25 people were killed in the last such coordinated attack in Kabul on September 13 last year on US Embassy/NATO Headquarters premises.
