Pakistan Awarded Hosting Rights for Blind Cricket World Cup

Karachi: Pakistan has been awarded the hosting rights for the Blind Cricket World Cup. This means that the Blind Cricket World Cup will be held in Pakistan before the ICC Champions Trophy.

According to a report, Pakistan Blind Cricket Council Chairman Syed Sultan Shah announced that the ICC has granted Pakistan the hosting rights for the Blind Cricket World Cup.

He stated that the fourth Blind World Cup is scheduled from November 22 to December 3, with India being the first country to confirm its participation. Additionally, Nepal, New Zealand, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka have also confirmed their participation.

He further mentioned that there is a strong possibility that the Indian blind cricket team will visit Pakistan. There is also a bright prospect for the West Indies’ participation. He emphasized that the Blind Cricket World Cup would benefit the ICC Champions Trophy, noting that India’s participation in the World Cup is crucial for the Champions Trophy. He expressed his desire for the World Cup to be held in Karachi with the cooperation of the Sindh government.

Meanwhile, Sindh’s Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Khan Mahar, stated that it is encouraging to host the fourth T20 Blind Cricket World Cup in Pakistan this year. The Sindh government is prepared to host this mega event in Karachi. He assured his full support for the successful organization of the World Cup in Karachi.
