Lahore: As a counter strategy to laptops provision to students project by the government of Punjab, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) central leadership has decided to provide free internet connection in all public universities across the province.
The decision was made in a meeting chaired by Pakistan’s president Asif Ali Zardari, party sources said.
“PPP leader ship of the Punjab, the most populated province of the country had also complained about lack of jobs for party’s workers.”
PPP leadership informed the president about Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif project.
A lot of poor students were benefited from the CM’s project increasing favoring trends for Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) in youth, they further said.
On the occasion, the president Zardari instructed the provincial party leadership to provide internet connection in all the universities and major colleges.
“Soon As the students connect the internet, picture of former party chairperson Benazir Bhutto and party’s charter should appear on the screen increasing value of PPP in the youth.”
Meanwhile, talking about it opposition leader in the Punjab assembly Raja Riaz confirmed that the federal government had decided to take establish computer labs.
