Karachi: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has take taken the notice of the death of three children in National Institute Child Health (NICH) Karachi due to strike of nurses and per medical staff, sources said on Thursday.
The sources said that the prime minister had directed the Sindh government to investigate the incident and provide relief to the citisens.
Earlier three minors were died in the hospital due to the unavailability of basic medication. Doctors say that it is nurses’ duty to take care of the children in the hospital, however they added that they were making arrangements to transfer the children to private hospitals.
Patients are suffering in the city as the nurses and per medical staff are protesting for the increase in their salaries.
Police on Wednesday baton-charged and used water cannons to disperse a protest rally of Nurses and paramedical staff that intended to march towards Governor House.
