Lahore: If you can pay Rs. 30 to 35 thousands per hour to Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) you can then be fortunate enough to get uninterrupted electricity.
This fact is revealed as PEPCO officials have been supplying industrial users continuous supply of power at the rate of Rs. 3o to 35 thousands while further cutting down power share from domestic users.
“It is true that power supply has decreased cause worses loadshedding in the country, but it is also true that officials at grid stations are involved in supplying illegal electricity to industrial units from the share of local users,” sources said.
“Such illegal power supply is being provided in cities including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Sheikhupura and other industrial cities of Punjab, the biggest province of Pakistan.”
One industrial said that he was also contacted with this offer of uninterrupted power supply on giving the required amount.
“I denied to pay any amount and after that my units are facing the worst load-shedding.”
