Nowshera: As extremism drives Pakistan’s northwestern tribal region and the extremists seem to be hell bent on destroying education system by blowing schools, authorities remained reluctant to put up efforts to improve educational standard that might help the province get rid of grip of terrorism.
Correspondents in the province reported on Monday that private schools are busy in buying examination centers  to get first positions for their students in annual examination for nine and tenth class.
Owners of private schools are charging Rs4000 to Rs6000 to “buy” specific examination halls and paying bribes to staff.
Intelligent students are seeing their future dark after watching their teachers preparing students to use Pocket Guides so that they would get higher marks.
Sources said that owners of some private schools racing for the first position have close links with matriculation board chairman Mardan and education departments high-ups and manage to get positions for their schools.
