Auckland: South Africa thrashes New Zealand in the third one-day international by 5 wickets ultimately clean sweeping New Zealand in the three match series, at Auckland, here on Saturday.
The South African team successfully chased a target of 206 for the loss of five wickets set by New Zealand with almost seven overs remaining in the innings. Â The stylish fifty by Hashim Amla who scored 76 runs along with Albie Morkel 41 and Wayne Parnell 27 helped S Africa to chase a low total.
N Zealand bowler Rob Nicol remained the highest wicket taker in the innings by taking two wickets accompanied by Kyle Mills, Andrew Ellis and Micheal Bates who shared one wicket each.
Earlier in the New Zealand innings all team was bowled out for 206 runs which include 47 runs of Kiwis captain Brendon McCullum along with James Franklin and Grandhomme who scored 36 runs. The other kiwi batsment failed to cross 30’s.
Marchant de Lange who was awarded Man of the Match took four wickets  while Robin Peterson took two wickets along with Tsotobe and Johan Botha who shared one wicket each.
