Quetta: Some unidentified militants blew up two 18-inch diameter gas pipelines in Sui, a sub-district of Dera Bugti district, Balochistan sources said on Wednesday.
The sources said that the gas pipelines were blown up in Pir Koh area of Sui when an explosive device attached to the pipeline went off with a huge explosion. Resultantly, gas pipeline destroyed completely.
The Levis and Frontier Corps had cordoned-off the area while Levis started investigations after lodging First Information Report (FIR) against unidentified culprits. No group had yet claimed responsibility of the incident.
The incidents of attacks on gas pipelines also occurred in the past causing damages to the gas pipelines supplying gas to different parts of the country.
