Karachi: Dozens protesters were injured and arrested when police applied baton charge and used teargas to stop contract teachers of provincial education department here on Tuesday near Karachi Press Club from marching towards Chief Minister House.
The protestors demanded of the government to regulize their services and regular salaries.
The protesters carrying placards and banners chanted slogans against Sindh Education Department.
They wanted to march to the CM House, when police baton charged them and used teargas. Many protestors sustained injuries due to baton charge.
The teachers said that police brutally baton charged on them and if the police would not release the protestors so they continue their protest.
Protestors said that they were pressurised through different tactics to withdraw their demands but we will never bow to any pressure and continue our struggle for our rights.
