Abu Dhabi: Pakistan has made reasonable score of 256 for seven with the help of good partnership of 100-run between skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and young Asad Shafiq for the fifth-wicket partnership on the opening day of the second test match at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium here on Wednesday.
Both the batsmen made 83 and 58 runs, respectively. Asad and Misbah had their share of chances, when Misbah was not caught at slip off Panesar and Asad went for a wild shot that resulted into an almost fatal inside edge, but that was all the liberty they took throughout the day.
Fast bowler Stuart Broad dismissed Younis Khan (24) and Azhar Ali (24) to give England a further edge after they dismissed Mohammad Hafeez and Taufiq Umar early to derail Pakistan.
