Islamabad: A local court on Wednesday rejected an application, seeking registration of a lawsuit against Mansoor Ijaz, the man at the center of memogate controversy.
The hearing was conducted by Additional and Session Judge Islamabad Wajahat Hussain over an application filed by Khalid Javed, an activist of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
The applicant in the application said that Mansoor Ijaz had written several contemptuous articles against Pakistan Army and brought defamation to the state institutions.
He prayed to the court that case be registered against Ijaz. The court announced the verdict after applicant’s counsel Israr Abbasi completed his argument.
