Dubai: Pakistan is all set to face the No.1 Test team England in first test match at the Dubai Sports City (DSC), Dubai, which will be held on tomorrow.
Captains of both the team said that batsmen will be under pressure to perform in slow track.
The pitch for the opening encounter of the three-Test series at Dubai stadium is likely to help spin bowlers and although Pakistan were certain to play with Saeed Ajmal and Abdul Rehman, Strauss also thinks to play with two spinners but will take action before the match.
Pakistan won one of the two Tests played at the DSC so far, against Sri Lanka in October last year. Spinners also took 11 of the 25 wickets that fell in the drawn Test between Pakistan and South Africa in 2010.
On the other hand coach Pakistani cricket team Mohsin Khan said that the pressure will be on the tourists now as they look to maintain their position at the summit.
“I won’t say they will be hugely under pressure, but definitely this kind of pressure will be there, because they have to maintain their position,” he said.
