Jamshoro: Sindh University syndicate in its emergent meeting held on Thursday approved Rs. 1 million as financial assistance for grieved family of slain Prof. Bashir Ahmed Channer Director Students Affairs of the University.
for grieved family while appreciating steps taken by the Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Dr. Nazir A.Mughal for grieved family of Prof. Bashir Ahmed Channer Director Students Affairs of the University approved Rs. 1 Million as financial assistance for grieved family.
The emergency meeting was presided over by Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Nazir A.Mughal.
The meeting expressed deep sorrow and condemned strongly the assassination of Prof. Channer and offered fateha. The meeting expressed grief and offered fateha for Pir Sahib Pagara Shah Mardan Shah.
The Syndicate meeting took serious notice of non academic attitude of agitating teachers of the University and directed them to resume classes immediately. The Syndicate further authorized the Vice Chancellor to take disciplinary action against Dr. Azhar Ali Shah and Dr. Arfana Mallah both Assistant professors of the University on account of their non academic attitude.
 The meeting was attended by Justcie ( Retd) Hamid Ali Mirza, Mumtaz Rehman, Dr. Nelofer Shaikh,  Dr. Asad Ali Larik, Dr. Abdul Sattar Ansari, Dr. Mumtaz Bhutto, Dr. Parveen Shah, Dr. Anwar Ali Shah, Dr. Imdad Ali Ismaili, Advoctae Jhamat Jethanand , Prof. Ahmed Ali Shaikh and Registrar Akhtar Ahmed Memon, Madam Aftab Inayat  and others.
