Islamabad: Federal Minister of Petroleum Dr. Asim Hussain on Sunday said that government’s first priority was to fulfill the requirement of domestic gas consumers.
Talking to a private news channel, he said that the government had given full attention to energy crisis during four years but it still needs some further drastic measures to tacklle this problem. However, he said planning of current government would certainly help tackle the problem in future.
To a question, Dr. Asim said though the problem was serious but theft of electricity and gas has aggravated the situation. “The government was seriously working to solve the problem,” he added.
He said, “We are re-examining very minutely of theft tactics by certain domestic and commercial consumers”.
The Minister said that security of pipelines in Balochistan would be further tightened.
