Jamshoro: General Secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party Sindh, Taj Haider on Thursday met with Vice Chancellor (VC) University of Sindh (SU) Prof. Dr. Nazir A. Mughal in his office and expressed condolence on his behalf and on behalf of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on the assassination of Prof. Bashir Ahmed Channer.
The Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Parveeen Shah, Registrar Mr. Akhtar Ahmed Memon were also in the meeting.
 Taj Haider paid tribute and said that Prof. Channer was a very daring scholar who sacrificed his life for the cause of education and betterment of educational atmosphere in the campus.
The VC on this occasion briefed Haider regarding the progress of All Parties Conference, Monitoring Committee and development of the code of conduct and its implementation.
He informed that last meeting of the Monitoring committee unanimously approved that University administration should take action against those who are involved in violation of University rules and discipline and creating law and orders situation.
Haider said that Chief Minister Sindh has taken very serious note of assassination of Prof. Channer and specially deputed him to met with the VC and offer full cooperation and Chief Minister Sindh is looking forward very keenly  over the efforts  for arrest of the culprits. He said that we are determined and all efforts on the part of the Government of Sindh will be made to arrest the culprits.
The DIG Police Sannaullah Abbasi and SSP Jamshoro also joined Taj Hadier and VC during the meeting.
