Peshawar: Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan Syed Munawar Hassan has said that Pakistan and US have different interest in the region.
Addressing a huge public gathering here in Ring road, Peshawar on Sunday, Hassan said that US was taking anti Pak army and public steps along with the attack on Pakistani check-posts.
Jamaat-e-Islami chief alleged that the US and Israel were involved in different terror strikes in Pakistan including attacks on PNS Mehran base and GHQ. “But our government and agencies blamed Taliban for these terror attacks,” he added.
He slammed government for granting Most Favorite Nation (MFN) status to India and alleged that India broke Pakistan on the interests of US and Russia.
Former JI chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Sirajul Haq and other JI leaders also addressed the gathering.
Ahmed condemned the government intend to restore Nato supply from Pakistan and announced that if supply routes were restored, JI will call for countrywide transport strike in protest.
Talking further about the Nato issue, Hasan said that peace in the region cannot be restored until the United States is forced to leave.
This was JI second public gathering in last 10 days, the third gathering are expecting on 25th December in Lahore.
