Islamabad: A recent survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan has revealed that 36% believe the role of ‘elders’ is more important than ‘books’ in the education and grooming of children.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Some people believe that whatever a child learns most of it comes from elders, whereas some believe it comes from books and school. What is your point of view?”
Responding to this 36% believe that elders play more important role in the education and grooming of children than books whereas 19% believe that children learn from books and school and 44% believe that both elders and books play equal role. However 1% did not give a view.
