Karachi: Usman Salahuddin, who represented Pakistan in the recent tour to West Indies, tops the batting charts in domestic cricket this season with 713 runs at an average of 79 so far. The 20-year-old Salahuddin is leading Lahore Ravi in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Division Two.
Surprisingly, there is no star cricketer among the top run makers. Salahuddin is followed by Afaq Rahim of Islamabad with 659 runs at an average of 54. On the third position stands Saeed Bin Nasir of Karachi Whites who has 637 runs at a huge average of 91 runs.
Mohammad Ayub of Sialkot has accumulated 607 runs so far at an average of 60. He is followed by Fahad Iqbal of PIA, the brother of test batsman Faisal Iqbal, with 594 runs at an average of 84 runs.
Test opener Imran Nazir is much behind with only 408 runs. Similarly, Khurram Manzoor has scored only 407 runs. Test batsman Faisal Iqbal has been ever more unimpressive with just 358 runs. Same is the case of test opener Yasir Hameed who has 353 runs only.
