Karachi: Two suicide bombers involved in Karachi Sea View blast have been identified as students of local seminaries, police said on Friday.
Police said that a terrorist was identified as Shoaib-ur-Rahman who had been staying in Jamia Binoria Interntion, a prominent seminary located in city’s Industrial area SITE town. They added he was Bengali national while family was residing in Nazimad. Police have arrested father.
Other suicide bomber who was identified as Atiq-ur-Rahaman was resident of Mujahid colony in SITE town and he had received religious education from a seminary situated in city’s posh area Bahadurabad. Police claimed that Atiq-ur Rehman had got 80-day militant training from Waziristan. Police have arrested his two brothers and shifted them to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
Meanwhile, Jamia Binoria issued a statement, stating that the seminary has nothing to do with the terrorist and there was no record regarding Shoib being student of the Medressha.
