Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that with the improvement of Pak-India relationship, importance of Saarc (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) has increased and his democratic government gives great significance the South Asian club.
He was talking to media before leaving for Maldives to attend Saarc summit on Wednesday.
Gilani said that he was likely to meet his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh where they would discuses progress in bilateral relations. He is also expected to hold meetings with the heads of governments of the eight Saarc nations — Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
