Sharjah: Pakistan stubbornly ground out a draw in the third and final Test against Sri Lanka to secure the series win by 1-0 at Sharjah here on Monday.
Pakistan, set 255 runs to win in a possible of 61 overs, finished at 87-4 before bad light ended play four overs earlier, with Misbah-ul Haq on nine and Asad Shafiq four not out after losing four early wickets.
Pakistan won the second Test in Dubai by nine wickets, while the first Test in Abu Dhabi ended in a draw.
Rain wiped out the first session and when play resumed after two hours and 35-minute delay, Sri Lanka declared their second innings at 181-6 with opener Tharanaga Paranavitana unbeaten on 76.
