Islamabad: Pakistan has recognised Libya’s new interim government following Gaddafi’s decades long autocratic regime came to an end after he was killed by the NTC fighters.
Talking to media during weekly briefing, Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokeswoman Tehmina Janjua said that the country had recognised Libya’s new government as it enjoyed historical relations with the African country.
Replying about Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan, she said that the country fully supported the communiqué of the Istanbul Conference which was held in Turkey to bring peace in the war-tron country. “Pakistan fully supports any initiative for stability in Afghanistan” she said.
On another question about giving the Most Favoured Nation status to India, Janjua said that talks were continued with India to promote bilateral trade.
