Sana’a: Four back to back explosions and intensive firing rocked the capital of Yemen, setting two fighters jets on fire, an aviation official said.
According to The official, Yemen’s International Airport has been seized after the explosions at the adjacent al-Daylami air base, prompting flights to be rerouted from the airport to Aden.
Flights have been diverted to Aden in the south of the country.
There is no initial report of any casualty.
Law enforcing agencies are trying to identify the cause of the explosions that weather the explosions were a terror incident or anything else.
One aviation official told Agence France-Presse news agency: “There were four explosions at the air force base alongside the international airport and two fighter jets went up in flames.”
No one has yet claimed the responsibility of the explosions.
