Dubai: Sri Lanka has given target of 94 runs to host team Pakisan on Saturday as they seek a win in the second test in Dubai.
Spinner Saeed Ajmal took five wickets which helped Pakistan to restrict Sri Lanka on 257.
Pakistan dismissed opener Tharanga Paranavitana (72) and wicketkeeper batsman Kaushal Silva (eight) during the afternoon session to restrict Sri Lanka’s second innings to 218 for six at tea.
In the morning session, Pakistan dismissed Sri Lanka’s batting mainstays Kumar Sangakkara (30), Mahela Jayawardene (5) and captain Tillakaratne Dilshan (3) to boost their chances of taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
