Peshawar: As many as three new polio cases have been registered in Pakistan’s tribal region this week.
According to health department, the polio virus was diagnosed in three children includes 18-months-old Naila, Irshad, 2, Yousuf, 2.
14 new cases were reported last week in the country, which were the highest number of new cases reported in a single week ever.
The Polio cases in Pakistan are increasing with an alarming rate during the year 2011.
The country has been working for more than two decade to eliminate polio, a disease that threatens children with lifelong paralysis and even death.
