Karachi: Academic Council of University of Karachi has decided to continue BS honours program and to restore Masters program.
It was decided in a meeting under the chair of Vice Chancellor Professor Pirzada Qasim and announced the admission policy of 2012.
Convener of Academic Council and Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Shahana Urooj Kazmi said that credit hours of BS Honours will be decreased by 10 hours and now it will equal to Masters with 126 hours.
She also said that quota system will not be increased.
Director admission committee Professor Khalid Iraqi said that the committee will be made to observe the merit in sport quota and no admission would give on pressure.
She also said that meeting of admission committee is expected to be held on October 24 and will finalize the pattern of admission.
