Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan will announce its verdict on the Wage Board Award on October 19, which was reserved on September 28.
The apex court had reserved its judgment on petitions moved by a number of newspaper employers challenging the vires of the Newspaper Employees (Condition of Service) Act 1973 under which the 7th Wage Board Award was announced.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice and comprising Justice Tariq Parvez and Justice Ghulam Rabbani had taken up three petitions against the May 31 Sindh High Court verdict of upholding the Wage Board award.
