Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday dismissed a petition filed by the government against the LNG policy.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry asked the government to file the petition in the Lahore High Court as the LHC would first decide the case and later it would be appropriate for the apex court to take up the application.
The CJ remarked that the policy was evolved to serve an individual’s interest.
The government had filed the petition in SC, seeking stay orders regarding LNG policy.
