Baghdad: A string of explosions rocked a neighborhood in the north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, leaving at least 15 people dead and dozens other wounded on Thursday.
The first explosions took place around 8:30 p.m. (1730 GMT) on Thursday in Baghdad’s Sadr City, AFP quoted security officials as saying.
The interior ministry official put the toll at 15 dead and 31 wounded, while the defense ministry official said 16 had been wounded.
Both sources confirmed that women and children were among the dead.
No one has yet claimed the responsibility of the attacks.
