Lahore: The dengue fever claimed seven more lives in Punjab on Friday, taking death toll to 228 in the province.
Sources said that Shafique, 25, resident of Gaja Pir, Nasir Bakhsh, 50, resident of Ichhra and Saba Zafar, 30, resident of Gulshae-e-Ravi lost their lives in Services Hospital, Lahore, while Zainab, 65, resident of Misri Shah, lost her life in Mayo Hospital.
Sources said that Abdul Ghafoor, 60, resident of Raj Garh and Kaneez Fatima, 55, resident of Fateh Garh fell prey to dengue in Ganga Ram Hospital and Combine Military Hospital of Lahore, respectively.
Meanwhile, Shamim, 47, resident of Taxila also died of dengue in PIMS Hospital Islamabad.
