Virginia: United States President Barack Obama has said that Pakistan would be responded strictly over militants issue.
Obama said on Friday that intelligence sharing with Pakistan would be continued at every cost but Pakistan would be pressed to carry out action against insurgents in its soil.
He said war against terrorism was in favour of Pakistan. Mike Mullen was frustrated because of Haqqani network’s safe havens in Pakistan, Obama stated.
Obama added that Pakistan should be careful regarding Haqqani network.
He said there were no confirm reports that Islamabad’s intelligence agency and al-Qaeda-linked Haqqani network have any type of contacts.
Earlier, Obama confirmed the death of al Qaeda leader Anwar Awlaki and termed it a significant milestone.
Confirming the death of US-born al Qaeda leader, Obama said Awlaki targeted several Americans. Awlaki was involved in planning attacks in the US, he stated.
