Lahore: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has decided to shift the domestic under 16 Hockey Championship to Peshawar due to outbreak of dengue fever in Lahore.
The tournament was scheduled to be held in Lahore but due to the dengue virus now PHF has decided to change the venue as a precautionary measure to save players from the deadly virus.
The PHF said that the tournament would be played in Peshawar from 11 to 22 September.
Earlier in last week, The Pakistan Cricket Board has also changed the venue of domestic t20 championship from Lahore to Karachi.
The dengue outbreak in Lahore started in August, since then more than 100 people have lost their lives due to dengue virus.
