Mumbai: Senior BCCI voice president and chairman IPL Rajiv Shukla has said that former Pakistani speed star Shoab Akhtar’s remarks against Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid won’t affect cricket between both the nations.
Shukla on Saturday also demanded apology from Akhtar for making disparaging remarks against India’s batting stalwarts such as Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid in his autobiography.
Shukla said that Tendulkar did not need any certificate from Akhtar as his class was acknowledged by none other than Sir Don Bradman.
It is pertinent to mention here that Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ijaz Butt had expressed concerns over Shoaib Akthar’s remarks, which according to him could affect cricket relations between India and Pakistan.
