London: Pakistan’s political party Muttahida Qaumi Movment (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has backed off his statement against Awami National Party chief Asfandyar Wali, in which he had alleged that Asfandyar got millions of dollars from the US in order to win the elections 2008.
In a statement issued from London, MQM chief said the ANP leaders and workers felt badly as he regretted over his statement and taking his statement back.
Hussain said he had no evidence about his statement regarding Asfandyar but he was taking his words back in order to reduce the tension and bitterness among both parties because Pakistan desperately needed peace now.
He said Pakistan needed unity and brotherhood in present time and this sense could be felt by those who had given sacrifices for the country.
