Karachi: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday dispelled all the allegations leveled by the former senior Sindh minister Zulfiqar Mirza and termed the entire allegation fabricated.
Speaking at a hurriedly called press conference at the party headquarter, MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari, flanked by members provincial assembly, said that Altaf Hussain was a patriot and the MQM was the party of those who run Pakistan movement.
The MQM leader said that Mirza in his past statement had expressed his wish to dismember Pakistan.
He said that Mirza tried to provoke Pathans against Mohajirs. He assured all Pathans of providing security and dubbed them brothers. He said that there was no confrontation between MQM, Pakhtuns and Balochis before Mirza became Sindh Home Minister.
Sabzwari said that Zuliqar Mirza was backing gangsters and terrorists in Lyari and tried to terrorized witnesses of Shershah Kabari Market carnage.
“People know who the patron of extortionists is” , he said, adding that all have watch where the torture cells were found. He alleged that Zulfiqar Mirza was the killer of people in Karachi..
The MQM leader further said that Mirza tried to distract Supreme Court’s attention which was to start hearing suo motu case on Karachi unrest next day.
