London: Pakistan’s former military ruler Gen. (Retd) Pervez Musharraf has expressed extreme perturbed over deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi.
According to a statement, he said the circumstances of Karachi were going from bad to worse with the passage of time. The government should express her seriousness and serenity and take stern action for restoration of peace in the financial hub of Pakistan.
He said it was very strange that innocent people were being massacred in the holy month of Ramazan and on the other hand, the government was unable to take any action against miscreants, adding that situation may be out of control if proper action was not taken against miscreants.
He emphasized that the Rangers and the FC had potential to overcome the situation but the situation was totally different as some political groups were engaged in fighting each other.
Different pressure groups were killing innocent people for their vested interests, he said, adding that, good governance was seen nowhere in the country.
He warned the rulers should effort on emergency basis for restoration of peace in the city; otherwise the nation would never forgive them.
