Islamabad: Islamabad High Court has sought answer from Director General (ISI) Inter Service Intelligence by August 26 as the court decided to carry on proceedings in missing persons’ case.
The court has said the responsibility of the court does not end by simply expressing ignorance about missing people. The IHC said this while hearing the plea filed by relatives of Hayan Dawar Khan, Imran Yousafzai, Usama Hanif and Dr Abdul Qayyum.
The court reserved the judgment on the previous hearing. The representative of the agency expressed ignorance about the missing persons. The Chief Justice IHC Hamid-ur-Rehman said keeping in view the situation, the proceeding of the case would continue.
The chief justice also directed to send the case to Supreme Court of Pakistan’s commission on missing persons.
He said in his decision the courts are bound to recover the missing persons according to the constitution and lenient view of the situation would not be taken in this regard.
