Islamabad: Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad met Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Babar Awan in Islamabad and discussed political situation.
Talking to media after the meeting Ibad said that criminal elements exploited the differences between the PPP and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
Ibad said that steps would be taken for harmony and stability in Karachi, adding that the MQM would support government’s good step.
Replying to a query, he said that army was our own institution but the situation should not be allowed to worsen so that army has to be called in.
Speaking on the occasion, Babar Awan said that President Asif Ali Zardari was carrying forward reconciliation policy. He said, ” we are strengthen country’s institutions”.
