Kandahar: Kandahar mayor Ghulam Haidar Hameedi was killed in a suicide attack, news agencies reported on Wednesday.
Reports said, Hameedi was killed when a suicide bomber blew himself as the mayor spoke with some citizens in the courtyard of the city hall.
According to reports the mayor was killed while he spoke to local people about a land dispute in which the he had ordered some houses to be destroyed as they were built illegally Two children were killed on Tuesday while the houses were being knocked down.
