Islamabad: Taliban has released a video showing that fighters executing 15 Pakistani security personnel captured in a raid in the northwest tribal region of Pakistan, the army said.
The video showed that the security forces were pace up and down on a hillside, their hands tied behind their backs, standing shoulder-by-shoulder in front of armed Taliban fighters hide their faces by wearing scarves.
In the video, a Taliban commander with hidden face delivered a brief speech declaring policemen enemies of Islam and deserving of death.
“These are the enemies of Allah’s religion and have left Islam. Allah orders to kill such people,” he said, speaking in the local Pashto language.
One of the fighters accused the men of executing six children. The fighters opened fire on the policemen and then systematically fired a shot in the head with AK-47s.
Pakistan army spokesman Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas said Monday the policemen were captured when the Taliban staged an attack from Afghanistan in Pakistan’s Upper Dir district on June 1.
