Karachi: Senior Sindh Minister for Forests and Prisons Dr Zulfiqar Mirza has apologized for his last night statement against the Urdu speaker, saying that if someone was hurt by his statement then he was sorry for that.
In a handwritten statement issued here by Sindh Information Department, Dr Zulfiqar Mirza said, “Urdu speaker were and are our brother and they will remain the same forever and if someone was hurt by his statement then he is sorry for that.”
The acerbic Mirza, who has on many occasion stirred controversies through his statement, clarified that the last night statement was his personal and the party had nothing to do with it.
He said that his statement was not meant to hurt and humiliate anyone.
