Karachi: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid Chief has said that all political parties’ heads should sit together in Karachi to bring peace in the metropolis and avoid blame game.
While addressing a joint press conference with MQM leadership during his visit to Nine Zero, MQM’s central headquarter in Karachi, PML-Q Chief late on Tuesday said that we would resolve all problems by sitting in government.
Chaudhary Shujaat was leading PML-Q three-member delegation. Chaudhary Wajahat Hussain and Aleem Aadil Sheikh were accompanied him.
He pledged that PML-Q would continue supporting MQM at every difficult time. Chaudhary Shujaat said that buffeting measures to fight terrorism in Karachi was need of the hour.
On the occasion PML-Q Chief said that he would not support any totalitarian and unjust leader. He said President Zardari asked him that it would be a loss of government if MQM left government.
He said when MQM’s Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Kahn was governor Sindh all the issues were settled down easily.
The PML-Q leader said that he has been visiting Nine Zero for last 25 years and MQM and PML-Q have very good political ties.
Earlier, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Deputy Convener Farooq Sattar said that some 300 MQM workers were killed during last three years despite MQM and Pakistan Peoples’ Party were coalition partners in Sindh province of Pakistan. Sattar said that it seemed that MQM was being deliberately cornered.
Sources said that during the meeting Sattar made it clear to MPL-Q leadership that MQM would not join PPP-led government again, informing his party reservations to PML-Q leadership.
He said that President Asif Ali Zardari has been powerless in front of PPP workers or part of conspiracy against MQM. He also invited PML-Q leadership that visit Orangi, Qasba Colony, Kati Pahari and Aligarh Colony.
Meanwhile, MQM leaders were presented the video of four days violence in Orangit town and other suburb areas that left over hundred people dead.
Although, MQM leader Mustafa Kamal said that Karachi situation were deteriorated in the leadership of President Zardari.
While, MQM’s Rabita committee member Waseem Aftab said that people were demanding a new province.
Earlier, Chaudhary Shujaat called on the affected families of Orangi Town and prayed also offered prayer for the affected people.
On the occasion, Farooq Sattar, Raza Haroon, Waseen Aftab, Mustafa Kamal, Nasreen Jalil, Wasay Jalil, Waseem Akther, Dr Sagheer Ahmed and other leaders were also present.
