Karachi: Following the killing of at least 67 people in Karachi in three days, the government has finally given the police shoot-at-sight orders to control violence .
A meeting to review the law and order situation in Karachi presided over by Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah was held at the CM House on Thursday, The News Tribe correspondent reported.
The meeting decided that miscreants would be dealt with iron hands.
Meanwhile, President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari directed Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to reach Karachi immediately. The federal minister has also been ordered to make a contact with Sindh government for maintaining law and order situation.
Papers cancelled:
University of Karachi and Federal Urdu University have cancelled papers scheduled on Friday. New dates of the papers will be announced later.
